Who likes to have gym class inside better?  Who likes to have gym class better outside?

Hi Ms M and grade 4, my name is Abby and I am speaking to you today about why we should go outside more in gym class. Let me explain my three main reasons. 

First we need more fresh air. I think that having Gym Class outside can be healthier for the body. Gym outside provides more energy for the mind and body.  Also having gym class outside can make kids less stressed, so kids can feel calmer outside. Also when you go outside in gym class your body gets vitamin D.

Second, it is quite obvious that gym class outside means more space.There is more room to play outside because there is a field, a play structure and pavement.If you are having gym outside there are less injuries  because people are bumping into each other less. Also there could be less fighting because people have more space to play.

Third, we can do more activities. You can play CAPTURE THE FLAG outside and you can hide better because there is more room than inside in the gym class.

I must also say that it is better to do hopscotch outside than inside. 

There is also more room outside in gym class to skip rope. 

I strongly believe that we should go outside in gym class more often because it is healthier, there’s more space, we can do more activities and it’s more fun.

Ancient Greece

In social studies Me and Gymnastic Girl are working on a project about Ancient Greece.

Here are some artifacts from ancient Greece.

The Statue’s from ancient Greece were made from stone or Bronze. The Statue of Zeus, Zeus was a the God of Olympia. The Cup of Kantharos, Kantharos was a drinking Vessel. Terracotta Statue of Aphrodite, It is the Goddess of beauty.

Reflection

I feel like me and Gymnastic Girl could have made our artifact better and make it more stable.

I liked to work with Gymnastic Girl and to do projects with her and liked building with her.

I think that the building and writing part went well.

 

 

 

 

 

Innovation Day Reflection

During Innovation me and Elise were compromising and doing each others ideas. Me and Elise loved working on innovation day it was the best and me and Elise were really trying to make the drawbridge really good. I think the drawbridge worked really well but i feel like next time we can do better and make the string stronger and make it so the the box doesn’t break as easily. I feel like maybe we could do it better next time but i like that the drawbridge went up and down. I did the painting and it was fun i did the painting part independently and the rest me and Elise did together. Elise and I made slides and i think it was really good and we added pictures to the slides. Elise and I our time wisely.

Stop Motion

The stop motion I am working on with Adam and Jacob it is about The Wild Robot and I will explain what we did for the stop motion.

Reflection

I think the recording went well and it was fun making the recording.

I think it would be even better if we could of made it so the robots could go in the cave and the bear go in the cave.  The cave could have been wider.

Introduction

sound is the key to hearing without sound you can’t hear anything. you can hear  sound  from microphone because the it makes your voice sound louder. sound threw waves. you can hear from your ear because it has stuff inside of it that makes you here with out it you can’t here. If you go on the plane it makes your ears blocked but if you chew gum it makes your ear  unblocked.

The properties of sounds:

  • sounds travels
  • sound scan be reflected
  • sound can be modified (changed)
  • Sound is made through vibrations

I have enjoyed experiments because they are fun

I need to work on the write-up part because sometimes I don’t use the work pack to help me do my blog write up. I will keep practicing this.
